Product Description: Step #3 in the KBS 3 Step System RustSeal is a paint-like substance that acts as a total rust inhibitor and preventive RustSeal has a consistency that is approx. that of paint and it has great spreadability. RustSeal chemically bonds to rusted steel to form a rock-hard, non-porous coating that won't crack chip, or peel. RustSeal works by isolating metal from moisture. Without moisture present, steel can't rust. RustSeal produces a non-porous, flexible coating that is incredibly tough and extremely resistant to abrasion and impact. RustSeal is highly surface tolerant and capable of adhering to almost any prepared substrate. RustSeal (a rust preventive paint), KBS AquaKlean (an industrial strength water-based cleaner / degreaser) and KBS RustBlast (a powerful rust remover / metal etch) is the most effective rust and corrosion prevention system available today. RustSeal is also highly resistant to some of the most aggressive chemicals such as acids, alkalis, salts, abrasive materials, fertilizers, coal dusts, solvents, oils, and other refined petroleum products. Five gallons of Rustseal will cover approx. 1000 sq. ft., a gallon covers approx. 200 sq. ft., a quart covers approx. 50 sq. ft., a pint covers approx 25 sq. ft. and eight ounces covers approx. 13 sq ft. with 2 coats.
