Seminole Metal Finishing Inc. opened on October 1st, 1987 and incorporated in June 1, 1988. Elliott Blackwelder founded the company and is still President of the company today. Our main focus from the very beginning was to provide a quality product and customer service second to none. We started out just doing black oxide on steel and stainless steel.
Over the years, we have added Electroless Nickel plating, Bright Nickel plating, Zinc plating, Copper plating, as well as Passivation, Black Oxide on Brass and Copper alloys, Bright Dip on Brass and Copper alloys as well as parts cleaning and degreasing services and waxing for anti-galling. We now are also doing dry film lube. We do not try to be everything to everyone, but are always happy to help our customers find a plater that will meet their needs if we do not do that process. We have a very good working relationship with other Orlando area electroplaters. We have been in our current facility for 14 years, which we had custom built as an electroplating facility.
Seminole Metal Finishing utilizes a continuous training program for all employees to enable them to serve our customers better by keeping rejects and overhead costs to a minimum. The very best quality and service is what our goal is for all our customers. This website is also designed to help our customers become better educated about they types of plating that we do, as well as how they are plated and what the customer can expect when the parts are recieved back.
We specialize in short run production and small lot jobs to provide our customer the quickest turnaround. But that does not mean we shy away from the bigger jobs. Over the years we have Electroless nickel plated gantry frames for the Kennedy space center as well as Electroless nickel plated window rings for a deep sea diving submarine as well as many other specialty plating jobs. We do work for the automotive industry, the electrical power industry, packaging machines, computer and medical industry, nut, bolt and screw industry and many more. Some of our customers include FMC, ABB, Seimens Westinghouse, Smurfit Stone and The Fastenal Corporation, and Lockheed Martin. All these customers and many small local businesses compromise our current customer base of satisfied customers. We have customers in the entire southeast United States but we have the capability to ship anywhere! We continually strive to make sure each and every customer receives the individual attention that will leave them feeling like they have their own in-house plating shop.
